Navigating the street food culture of Kathmandu can be quite an adventure for most and all that is taken care of on this tour ! Immerse yourself in the rich culture of Kathmandu with a lovely evening where you will explore the local Nepali cuisine with me at places most loved by locals. Tingle your taste buds with Nepali flavors at hole in the wall eateries and experience the real taste that locals eat regularly. We will begin our food tour at the old market of Indrachowk, moving on to the Kathmandu Durbar Square area that is ever so rich in culture. It is completely different from what you will be eating on this tour and will be a whole different cultural experience. After hosting food tours by myself for a while, I have now started working with the young people of the city! Every guide in my tour is well trained, a local of the city and of course a food enthusiast ! It will be either me or one of my team members taking you around for the tour. NOTE : With bigger groups, the tour may take about 30 minutes more to finish.

Momo Cooking Class in a Lovely Nepalese Kitchen at Lakeside
Experience the real taste of Momos and take it back home! We begin at my lovely home kitchen. After introduction into my home and my family, we start from scratch into making the Nepalese Dish. I have a small vegetable garden in the premises where we may pluck some fresh spices, herbs or veggies if available. We prepare all the necessary items by chopping the vegetables and making a garlic ginger paste. We use our lovely table for making the dough for the momos. Then, we move to making the fillings (either veg. or chicken) for the momos. Then after, with the recently prepared dough we move into making the shapes for momos. I teach you 2 styles: a round momo and a crescent ( C-shaped) momos. Finally, we steam them. While the momos are steaming, we make 'chatni' i.e. the dipping tomato sauce for momos. Finally, we all enjoy the freshly prepared momos. In between the class, I give you tips on making masalas i.e homemade spices, chapati, etc. The total duration will be about 2 hours. Come hungry go full !
