Learn how to make a sterling silver ring from scratch, with our AWARD WINNING EXPERIENCE! Start off by marking your silver to the length you require by choosing which finger you would like it on. Then, you'll use a handsaw to cut it to size, you'll learn how to form the ring, using a mallet to shape it to the ring mandrel. You'll watch as it is soldered in front of you by an expert tutor—all the time, she will explain exactly what she is doing. Then you'll learn to file it by using different hand files—this is fun, as it is when you get to individualize your ring, deciding what curve you would like it to have. You get to use your creativity with the planishing hammer to achieve the texture you require. People love this part as it's when you make your ring truly individual. Finally you get to choose your polish. Some people like it polished only on the inside, to give it an artistic/rustic look. Others like the glittery sparkle of a fully polished ring. We will bake fruit, lavender and berry scones, and spelt or brown bread. I believe in a hands on approach for my guests - from handling ingredients to kneading dough. It isn't all about the cooking, I share lots of tips from my experience over the years. I love to see my customer's faces full of excitement and joy at the sight of the end product - freshly baked scones and bread. And best of all we have lots of fun!!! We can also make gluten or wheat free goods, vegan goods and can accommodate to any dietary requirements you might have. We'll start with a short tour in the thatched cottage. Then we'll jump right into the dancing. We'll learn and practice the steps without the music first, we add the music afterwards. Towards the end you will have an opportunity to record all the fun of your experience to share it with your friends, loved ones, and on your social media. You will also be able to record the steps we learned during the class. In the end we can discuss any mysteries and/or questions you have related to the Irish music and dancing world. I’m also very happy to share with you where you can find authentic traditional music in the pubs. To finish off the experience I'll make a short dance performance for you. Other things to note Alternative times can be accommodated This experience is suited for all fitness levels! We won't do anything extremely physically demanding. The main goal is to try out an easy dance step/steps and have fun.

Alpacas take to trekking quite easily. They walk in a line, one behind the other on a head collar & lead rope. Our guided treks start at our farm and ascend into the forest. The walk itself is at a very leisurely pace and lasts about 1.5 hours (there are inclines and the terrain is uneven with tree roots underfoot). PLEASE NOTE: MINIMUM AGE 12 YEARS, no infant carriers (and all guests must speak English). When you arrive on site, the alpacas will be grazing, and we will call them in using their yellow food bucket! Simon and I will introduce you to the alpacas whist getting them ready with head collars and leads. We will have a brief health & safety chat, as well as give you some idea of what to expect and some pointers so you can interact with your alpaca. We will also introduce you to all of their individual quirks and personalities. Alpacas are not able to carry packs or people, so they will accompany us as we walk the forest trail. We try not to let them stop to nibble grass for long periods. Half-way around the walk, we release the alpacas in an enclosed area, so we can feed them treats, and you can get very close and intimate with them. They will love you when we give you the apples and carrots to feed them. There will be plenty of photo opportunities throughout your visit. When we return to the farm, we will finish with a fibre and spinning demonstration.

I will meet you at the marina on the Hugh Coveney Pier in Crosshaven. For those interested in doing a fishing trip I will supply all the necessary equipment. If you are keen sea angler your welcome to bring along your own gear and bait. I will supply bait, mackerel/rag worm. We will fish in or close to the harbour entrance depending on weather conditions. The fish we can expect to catch mackerel, pollock, dog fish, conger eels, thorn back ray, codling, whiting, etc. Guests will have at least 4 hours fishing. For harbour sightseening trips we will leave Crosshaven pier and head our the right side of the harbour out towards Roche's Point and back in the left side of the harbour. I will stop along the way telling you about the history of the various places of interest. There are old forts, Spike island prison, Cobh town, Monkstown to be seen and talked about. I will provide a nice cup of tea / coffee and nibbles when we stop at some place along the way. Both of these trips will be very personal and informative. I will try to answer and help you any way I can. I can assure my guests that they will really enjoy this experience. **I am currently on maternity leave so I am not running as many public classes as usual for Summer 2024** In the company of an experienced local Irish dancer learn a variety of different Irish dance styles and steps in a fun and relaxed environment. Visitors are introduced to sean-nós (Old style), Ceilí (group dancing) and the world famous Riverdance style. In 90 minutes unforgettable memories are created that allows participants to physically move through the history and embody the culture of Ireland.

You'll discover the future of food at our coastal landbased aquaculture farm tucked away amongst the maze of old stone walls in Rossaveel. Guided by Sinead and Cindy, you'll experience the joys of identifying and foraging seaweed along the rugged coastline and enjoy a tour of this modern aquaculture system. We'll provide you with a delicious tasting of fresh seafood dishes that makes use of the seafood grown on the farm as well as fresh wild ingredients foraged from the nearby sea. The legendary tour centers around the tale of the Lynch family. Its a fascinating tale of how Walter Lynch is accused and tried for the murder of a visiting Spaniard who was a little too interested in his beautiful wife to be...or was he ? The story ends in a dramatic climax...but you will have to take the tour for that finale ! We also look at the legend of the Claddagh ring with a tale connected to Caribbean pirates, North African slave owners and a gold ring that speaks of eternal love. Christopher Columbus makes his appearance too, looking for a new way to China, but worrying that Atlantis might stand in his way. These and other tales are woven together in a 80-90 minute walk through the city. Its taken at a gentle pace to bring in all the major places of interest and embed them into the story of our city. The Cliffs Of Moher is often referred to as the 8th wonder of the world. This guided tour will take you on an 8km (5 mile) adventure from the small fishing village of Doolin, along a breathtaking route to the top of the Cliffs Of Moher. The experience is brought to life with fascinating stories passed down from generations. Oh, and you will see the BEST views of the Cliffs of Moher! Join me and my team of guides on one of the most beautiful and stress-free day trips to Inisheer, the smallest of the Aran Islands! Meeting at Doolin Pier, we board a modern ferry for our 20-minute journey to Inisheer. En route, we often see the dolphins that love to swim beside the ferry. The island is like a time machine. As soon as you step foot on Inisheer, you will hear Irish (or Gaelic) being spoken everywhere. You will experience Irish traditions that have been lost on the mainland. We will bike our way around the breathtaking Island visiting sunken churches, rusted shipwrecks, and castles. After our bike tour, we will visit a local islander’s cafe, for some tea/coffee and fresh scones (an Irish sweet bread served with jam and cream). Una & John, the owners are fantastic storytellers who will share stories along with some island secrets! Afterward, you will have some free time. Arrive at Burren Nature Sanctuary Meet and feed the farm animals including Frisky the goat and her friends Hannah, Mocha and Chino, Frank the Llama and Dolly the alpaca Continue to Emilia's paddock and meet Emilia the Juliana pig (or Flora her understudy!) Emilia will run out of her paddock to get her harness on and with help from Mary or Helen, you will learn how to lead Emilia and use the pig paddle to turn and direct her! Laugh a lot! Set off down the nature walk and learn a little about the famine village (Emilia is not a great fan of history...) Lead Emilia around the fairy woodland and visit the fairy houses. Make a wish in the Fairy wishing well. Take photos with Emila and share on social media or save as a Christmas card image! Continue your walk unguided around the mile-long nature walk. We meet at Proper Order in Haymarket, where the tour would begin highlighting the illustrative graffiti of the area. Leaving Smithfield, we would move in the direction of Church Street and then Parliament Street. Following on from the story of a Dubliner character (Bang Bang), we would then make our way to Temple Bar as this area provides different examples of street art as well as art installations. The street art walking tour is an opportunity for guests to discover and learn some of Ireland's unknown and anonymous talented individuals. With this tour, guests will see some of Dublin's fascinating and intriguing unknown graffiti art work at its best and learn everything about the messages and stories behind these beautiful work of arts, such as the controversial mural "The boy on a horse" by Aches and the "Fish mural" in Temple Bar. The tour will also provide an opportunity to discover the local culture as well as stories of some of Dublin's most eccentric characters.

After meeting at the station we will make our way down to the beach and sit and discuss the look/ mood we are looking to create in the shots. We will start off very simple to warm up for 15 minutes so I can adjust to the light and you to me and my camera. It's all about relaxing and letting yourself shine! We will walk along the beach stopping at different backdrops whether they be the ocean, cliffs, shallow caves, boulders as I capture you in various movements, poses and perhaps outfits. I suggest sticking to one of a few looks and having two or three outfits within that one look e.g boho, vintage, rock and roll, etc. A preview of 2/3 photos will be sent within 24 hours then all photos (25 high resolution, colour corrected and retouched) will be sent via a share link within 3/4 days . I can also provide a 24 hour express editing service however this is an extra 50 euro. If you are looking to try something different from the usual strike a pose, smile, point and shoot then this experience is for you! I love creating memorable images which can never be recreated.

I will greet each guest at the front gate and introduce myself and my three sheep to them. They will be allowed to pet and feed the sheep. I will share a little about my background and why I love what they will be doing. Then we will go to the spinning studio where we will talk about wool, how it is sheared and washed before dyeing and spinning. Each guest will be given a skein of wool which they will take into the dyeing shed. A dye bath made from natural plants and flowers found in the countryside around my cottage will be ready for their wool. The wool will be dipped into the dye bath and allowed to stay for awhile. Meanwhile, back to the studio where I will teach guests how to card the fleece and hand spin it on a drop spindle and a spinning wheel. Guests will be given the opportunity to try their hand at spinning on the drop spindle. We will then take a tea and coffee break. After the break, back to the dye shed to check on the wool. We will take it out of the bath, rinse it and each guest can take theirs away with them. If time allows, I will do a weaving demonstration and each guest can try for themselves. Other things to note Guests should wear suitable clothing for handling fleece.
