You'll meet up with me and then follow me in a short drive to the trailhead. Once we park there is a short easy hike (about a half mile each way, part on roads, part on a dirt trail) before we climb down to the creek. The climb down is very steep and slippery. It is rock climbing just steep enough to not need gear. If you like bouldering you'll love this place. If you are afraid of heights this may be challenging for you. You will need shoes with good grip and both hands available to climb down the rock cliff. The creek is a beautiful place to relax for an hour or two surrounded by the woods and the sounds of birds chirping and running water and nature to help you feel peaceful and restful. In the spring and early summer you can swim! Best months to swim are May and June. In the fall and winter you can just explore and play and absorb some nature. It is beautiful year round. Throughout the experience I'll teach you about the local plants and animals :) I take candid and posed photos of you that I will send you after the hike. Even before you enter the gate the Llamas will be checking you out, the goats will cry out a welcome. When you enter their corral you might be wary of their size, and you will be amazed at their speed as they run around to show off their long strides. After they run for you, we will show you how to hold the llama pellets in your hand as the llamas use their oddly soft pillowy-lips to pick up the pellets. The llamas love the pellets so enjoy, and pet them. Once the LLamas have eaten all the pellets, we will introduce you to our six goats and our six other llamas by spreading hay for the llamas to graze on and everything becomes peaceful and silent. You hear the wind in the trees, the call of the quail, the gentle sound of hay being mashed into cud. When you look up you notice you are surrounded by the desert, the Sawtooth and Joshua Tree mountains to the South, the ancient volcanic Black Mesa to the West, and Johnson valley stretching endlessly North. Throughout this experience your hosts will educate you on all things llama, in addition snap as many photos of you so you when you aren't taking them yourself. This experience last an hour and a half. NOTE: you must be 18 yrs or older. CLOSED TOED SHOES ARE MANDATORY. Other things to note: There may be up to four people participating in a feeding. This experience is a blend of yin yoga or gentle movement with the healing sounds of the Indian flute known as Bansuri as well as sound bowls. The combination of both allows the body and mind to reach a deep state of relaxation to move out of fight and flight mode. The experience will be simple and gentle. All levels are welcomed. We will open the class by a couple sounds of AUM to create some vibrational bounds with each other. 30 minutes of yin yoga will follow until we reach a state of shavasana to enjoy the power of sounds. This 2-hour experience allows each guest to pick from a variety of pre-made pots. Horsehair "Raku" during the experience uses a technique of applying horsehair, feathers, and/or sawdust to red hot pots. The carbon in these items transfer suddenly to the pot and are permanent. This method is eye-popping and amazing. Any age can do it. I recommend children be at least 10 and able to be respectful to other guests. I am sometimes a little corny, but very capable of sharing the How-To's, mixed with some history and other uses of clay. I am very good at coaching, and helping guest achieve a decorated raku pot that they are excited to take home. This is the kind of experience that will be fondly remembered for a lifetime.

This will be a private sound healing experience held in the comfort of your own desert sanctuary. That’s right! I bring this experience to you!! You and your group will relax and rejuvenate as ten, 100% pure, quartz-crystal bowls are played for you. I will guide you through this complete mind and body experience. You will have the chance to deepen your spiritual practice, through meditation and visualization work, using the sound as a tool. You’ll visit our little farm and experience the morning routine with the animals. After being welcomed joyfully by our two dogs, Casper the Husky and Lola the Great Pyrenees, we'll meet at the outdoor kitchen. You’ll arrive just in time for the animals' breakfast, they will be waiting for you to feed and pet them! Starting with Tagada the horse and Carambar the donkey. (They will need to be brushed as well!) Next, we will walk over to the enclosure of the exotic birds. With prepared food and fresh vegetables from the garden, you’ll feed Charles and Diana the amazing peacocks, Popeye the astonishing turkey, and the two dozen rare chickens (Pompadour, Dubarry, Mary, Scarlet, Frida…) You will personally hand-feed them and gather their eggs, find out about the different breeds and learn fun facts about their origins. Then you’ll enter the barn to discover the world of our 26 sweet and gentle goats! You may scratch the heads of the adults and hold the babies (depending on the season). A perfect time for photographs! All the while I’ll explain how the Farm came to be, the sustainability of our practices, and how each species was found and rescued. Your visit will end with light refreshments and tastings of our goods.
