Savannah Coffee & Chocolate History Tour
This fun walking tour includes 1 cup of coffee and 1 artisan chocolate. Please let us know if you have any allergies. Join Savannah Tours and Tales on a historical walking tour beginning in one of the original four squares dating to 1733. We stroll through the squares arriving first at Cup to Cup Café to enjoy a locally roasted gourmet coffee. The next stop is Adam Turoni's Chocolat where we will be treated to an artisan chocolate truffle made in house. The atmosphere is exquisite and sometimes we get a glimpse of the chocolate makers in action. End at the filming location of the bench scene in Forrest Gump when he said "life is like a box of chocolates." The bench is now in a museum but it's fun to see where it was filmed! This tour is designed to show off a local's absolute favorite delectable locations. We are happy to highlight other wonderful cafes and bakeries depending on your interests. Savannah is best seen on foot, especially with a coffee and chocolate in hand. Please consider bringing the whole family along as we are kid friendly and have beverage and snack options for them as well!

Nennella Sailing on Charleston Harbor
Nennella Sailing offers year-round sunset and daytime charters on a classic 1964 Pearson Vanguard 32-foot sloop. Only about 400 of these yachts were built. Nennella is No. 109. When these boats were made, sailors navigated the seas using paper charts, sextants and the stars above. Step onto the boat—with her high bow and raised transom, full keel, original spruce boom and teak-lined cockpit—and get unstuck in time: you will be transported, literally and metaphorically, across the waters of Charleston Harbor and through the history of one of the most fascinating cities in the U.S. First settled in 1670, Charleston became the epicenter of rice production during the antebellum period, and the most significant port of entry in North America of the transatlantic slave trade. Here determined American Patriots defeated the mighty British Navy in the Battle of Sullivan's Island. Here the first shots of the Civil War rang out. In this harbor Robert Smalls commandeered the Confederate transport ship CSS Planter and piloted it and its enslaved passengers to freedom. Here the courageous 54th Massachusetts Volunteers fought the Second Battle of Fort Wagner. The history is rich, troubling, fascinating. Learn about it, as well as the details of contemporary life in Charleston, aboard the classic sailing yacht Nennella! (Ask about 2-boat tandem sails for parties of 8 or more.)
