Moving is vital to their ongoing health. In the wild, these animals can be found traveling 10 to 20 kilometers a day as they wander around grazing. And that’s where we need your help! These daily hiking adventures keep our big-eared friends healthy, while unleashing their natural curiosity and wonder. On this excursion, you will have the opportunity to stroll alongside Gabriela, Joaquin de Horta, Esperanca, Edward, and the always-entertaining Shetland pony, Kiwi! We will explore Agua de Alto, where they say it’s always sunny, at a donkey’s pace, reviling in the laid back pace that marks these relaxed islands. During this 3 hours walking tour on the streets of Bucharest, you will see how the years Romania spent under the Communist regime changed its architecture, its people and most importantly, its present. We will go through all the major changes Communism brought to this country and to this city, including but not limited to: nationalization, Secret Police, demolitions, etc. We will see around 15 objectives, each of them marking a specific moment/change during the Communist regime timeline. Join me in a unique river trekking experience at the heart of Crete island. We will discover the hidden wilderness of a Cretan gorge by hiking through it. The walk starts by swimming to an amazing well hidden waterfall. Its power and greatness will impress you. Then we will follow the river's bed splashing into crystal clear waters and natural pools having fun inside a beautiful natural landscape. Our gorge is a unique ecosystem and you will have the chance to observe several amphibious animals such as frogs , colourfulll dragonflies , sweet water turtles and if we are lucky spot some vultures flying above us ! The middle part of the route is isolated from the crowds and suitable for everyone without demanding parts. Later on we will stop for a snack under some huge plane trees having time to swim around! Before we finish our tour we will walk through some beautiful gardens with tropical vegetation and a typical Cretan olive grove ! Last but not least if you wish to have lunch follow me on a shady Greek taverna for some Greek tapas and a cold beer. At our farm, every child and adult will get the chance of becoming a stock breeder and a cheese maker for a day! You'll meet all the domestic animals of our farm, our goats, sheep, dogs, cats, hens and geese, partridges as well as our colorful peacocks. You could feed, pet and take photos with them. Thereafter, you could watch and take part in the two distinct ways of milking goats and sheep: the traditional way, using only the hands, as well as the modern way of milking. You will be informed on how to breed and care for our animals, their usefulness and all the products, which we're able to produce, using their milk. Next stop is our family cheese cottage, where you'll get useful information on the production of traditional Cretan cheeses and desserts, which we produce using the milk from our farm, while at the same time, together we will make one of them.
