Leith Court #12 is a private condo on the 2nd floor, in a gated 14 unit - 2 building complex joined by common walkways, stairwells and an elevator. The tropical court yard leads you down a well lit pathway to the gardens with a uniquely guitar-shaped pool. (Designed by one of the property developers and my cousin, Dean Straker of the musical group Spice, his father Emile Straker is in the famous Barbados music groups the Merry Men!) The poolside with beautifully manicured gardens and lush lawn areas are there for all to enjoy! There are several lounge chairs and umbrellas for sunbathing and relaxing. There is a shared briquette BBQ and even a picnic table for you to have a beachfront feast! The warm Caribbean Ocean & Worthing Beach is at your footsteps and although it is a public beach, it is very quite - often you may even be the only ones swimming with the sea turtles or strolling along the beach as it wraps around the sea. Remember the sun sets a little earlier in the Caribbean, so don't forget your cameras to capture Worthings spectacular sunsets!
Transportation to and from the airport can be arranged for you. If you would prefer to rent a car - lets us know - we can help you arrange one with our local rentals and have them meet you at the airport. Once you arrive at Leith Court - you will be greeted and provided with the keys and all other essential information to make your stay as carefree as possible. During your stay should you have any questions our Guest Liaison will take care of you.
Almost everything you need is in walking distance. There are 2 Supermarkets, Banks, Duty-Free Shopping, even a yoga studio, and nightly entertainment. Restaurants abound in this area offering some of the most eclectic dishes available in Barbados. From burgers to Thai food and in settings ranging from casual by the sea eateries to fine dining, you can find just about any menu item the island has to offer at south coast restaurants!
A great little Coffee Café is just steps away in Perrone Village near a Massy Supermarket that also offers a buffet/take away with local cuisine. And the most unique and international groceries with nicest cheese selection and meats while pricey can be found at Clifton Market. Head towards the beach at the next street and you will find Carib beach bar or Crystal Waters (perfect for live music on Sunday afternoons).
Heading towards St. Lawrence Gap are a host of choices - Lucky Horseshoe Steak House (open 24 hours), Chicken Barn, Greek Pita Hut, Little Caesars Pizza,
Primo, Castaways, Ocean One, Sharkey's, Paulo's Churrasco Do Brasil, Apsara Restaurant (India and Thai), Harlequin, and Café Sol (Mexican).
As you move West, towards Bridgetown, you will find in the Worthing area, Mojo's Bar, Tiki Hut, Copacabana,, Lemongrass (Thai Food truck) and the renowned Champers, overlooking the sea. Continuing on into the Rockley area, there is Quayside Plaza with Just Grillin’ and other small food outlets like a pizza place, chinese restaurant, juice bar, and our local fast food chain "Cheffettes" with rotis and chicken and childrens play park is beside it. Beachside, is the Accra Hotel which offers 3 exquisite restaurants (Asian and the others serving local dishes). As you continue along the coast towards Bridgetown through Hastings, there is Bubba’s Sport Bar, Ackee Tree (for great Rotis), Naru (Japanese) seaside on the boardwalk, Tapas (which overlook the Boardwalk and ocean). Across the street is Laterns Mall, which has a bank, several stores and offers many restaurants to chose from. Near to the Garrison is Mama Mia (Italian) and a nice upscale Italian restaurant Buzo.
Just off Bay Street, heading towards Lighthouse Point is Brown Sugar (authentic Bajan cusine), The Cruising Club “Dippers Bar and Restaurant” and the Hilton Hotel with its varied selection of restaurants. Further along on Bay Street is Lobster Alive, The Boatyard and of course the renowned Waterfront Café which looks on to the Careenage and has live nightly entertainment.
Heading easterly along Highway 7 away from us, is New Century (Chinese), Surfer’s Café and off course, Oistins Bay Gardens where you can have freshly caught fish cooked many ways, and where Friday night Oistens Fish Fry is must see! A little further on through is Cafe Luna, overlooking Enterprise Beach and at the very southern end of the island is Surfer’s Bay. On the eastern side of the island, beyond the airport you will find the Crane Resort, featuring Zen (Sushi and Japanese) and LaAzure.
The South Coast of Barbados offers stretches of white sand beaches, which are popular to locals and visitors.
When sitting on the patio - keep your eyes out to the sea, not only is it picturesque, but you may catch a glimpse of our sea turtles swimming, we have about 5 that swim there daily. Put on your snorkels and head out to swim with them, being sure to look at the reef down the beach and its wonderful array of colorful fish. Be sure to have your camera ready for capturing the glowing skies at sunset.
